About GEORGE
George T Gregory - Saxophone/vocals

As a member of the James Cotton Blues Band from Chicago, George did three U.S. tours and two Canadian tours. Along with his friend, Matt "Guitar" Murphy of the Blues Brothers, George was a featured soloist on the blues great's last album for Buddah Records, entitled, "The James Cotton Band Live and On the Move". The band appeared in major concerts with acts such as Steve Miller, Marshal Tucker, Johnny Winter, Poco, Savoy Brown and headlined at the Monterey Jazz and Blues Festival.

The George T. Gregory Band appeared in concert with Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Little River Band, Pappa John Creech, The Chambers Brothers, Elvin Bishop, Climax Blues Band, The Fabulous Rhinestones, NRBQ, John Lee Hooker, Hugh Masekela and many others.
While in New England, George was also an original member of the Shaboo Allstars, a band formed by vocalist David "Lefty" Foster, featuring many of the top musicians who appeared at his night club, the Shaboo Inn. The band included Matt Murphy, guitarist of the Blues Brothers, James Cotton and Howlin Wolf; Harvey Brooks of Electric Flagg and The Fabulous Rhinestones on bass; Jack Scarangello, drummer with Stevie Wonder; and, Shelton Laster, organist for jazz guitar great, Grant Green and Jeff Pevar guitarist for Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Ricki Lee Jones, David Crosby and many more.

While living in San Francisco, George performed with his own band and also appeared on shows with Malo; Jimmy Pugh, keyboardist with the Robert Cray Band; Mike Osbourne, guitarist for John Lee Hooker; Michelle Bastian of Big Brother and the Holding Company; and, recording sessions for David Frieberg of the Quick Silver Messenger Service.

Since moving to Utah in 2006, George has appeared with Harry Lee and the Back Alley Blues Band, the Sensations, Shades and Souled Out, a band he formed with keyboardist Kelly Brown.
George is eager to bring the new George T. Gregory Band, to audiences in the Salt Lake area and through out the country.
